Recycling Program

Recycling receptacles are located throughout our property and these items may also be deposited in the blue recycling bin located in each guest room. The following items may be recycled at Signal Mountain Lodge.

  • Aluminum Beverage Cans
  • Aluminum Foil and Pie Plates
  • Corrugated Cardboard
  • Magazines, Catalogues, and Newspaper
  • Glass Bottles and Jars
  • Steel Food Cans
  • Plastic #1 PETE and Plastic #2 HDPE bottles
  • Fishing Line
  • Batteries
  • Camp-Stove Propane Cylinders
  • Phone Books
  • 'Stretchy' Plastic (such as grocery bags, Ziploc bags, bread bags, etc)
  • Clean Textiles
  • Yogurt Cups
 

Signal Mountain Lodge has had an established recycling program since 1990, and in 2013 we diverted over 85 tons of waste from reaching the landfills through our recycling efforts!
